Coletrain999 Black Myth: Wukong Review
Aug 8, 2026
As a Souls veteran with 1,200 hours in Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong is a major disappointment.
The game prioritizes boss quantity over quality, relying on bad camera angles, obscured visibility, and cheesy gimmicks rather than fair difficulty. Beating a boss isn't rewarding when another one is 10 minutes away, and the inconsistent dodge mechanics and hitboxes only add to the frustration. Level design is poor with tons of invisible walls, and the lack of a map is inexcusable without mods. Having one weapon for the entire game is also disappointing. Visually, it's gorgeous, but it crashes frequently on PC.
I’m not enjoying this game at all and suspect many are only playing it because they paid for it. Souls fans: don't assume you'll like this one.
