CommandCloud3 Kirby Air Riders Review

As a lifelong fan of the original Kirby Air Ride way back in 2003, I was more than thrilled by the announcement of Kirby Air Riders. And after playing this wonderful racer, let me tell you it is one of the greatest racing games ever made. The new courses in Air Ride mode are among the best racing tracks ever made, in my opinion, and it even brings back all of the Air Ride courses from the first game. The new courses in Top Ride are also amazing bursts of fun, though sadly the Top Ride courses from the original game did not return here(though it's totally understandable, it probably would have been too chaotic). And the new city of Skyah in City Trial will blow your mind. It is an all new arena where up to 16 players compete to power up and play in a stadium match. And there are all new stadium contests too, such as laser gauntlets and target Circle matches. And to wrap it all up, the Road Trip mode is an amazing story mode that the original game could definitely have benefited from, and I'm more than thrilled with it. Most of it is a little on the easy side except toward the very end, and there are plenty of jaw-dropping boss battles you would not have expected from a racing game. The game also benefits greatly with online gameplay. This is indeed one of the greatest racing games out there, and while there are a few flaws here and there, this is one legendary racer that combines everything you love about Kirby with stunning, chaotic racing gameplay. 96/100.
