ConerWhitt Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Review

May 3, 2026
A good sequel should improve what has been done well the last time, and then expend on top of that. Unfortunately, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream breaks with this rule, by removing the best part of its last installment: The Concert Hall, which let players have their Miis perform songs in different genres with self-written lyrics. Now all that's left is dressing up your Miis and watching them do the same mad-libs cut-scenes over and over again. Nintendo wasted a lot of potential, without any adequate replacement. It's not like they removed the option to make your own songs, but replaced it with the ability to make your own Mii movies. No - all that we have is a big gaping hole where the diamond of this franchise used to be. A major blow to self-expression, creativity and replay-value. Let's hope they fix this mistake, and complete the game with a later update.
