Overall, RIDE 6 delivers an authentic, dense and enjoyable experience that goes out of its way to cater for both experienced and inexperienced gamers alike.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is a decent package that might not reinvent the wheel, but certainly refines it.
While the game’s story won’t really do much to help acclimate newcomers, I’m sure that fans of the anime will find something to enjoy here.
While Code Vein 2 is far from terrible, and at times quite fun, it simply doesn’t do enough to set itself apart from the ever-expanding list of Souls-like games that are bringing new and fresh experiences to the table.
While I won’t find myself replaying every game in this collection to the same extent, I’m loving what the team at Digital Eclipse have put together here.
Overall, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond might not be the best in the long-running series, but it definitely stands tall as a solid sequel, after so many years of anticipation.
For as basic and minimal as the gameplay feels at times, Goodnight Universe knocks it out of the park when it comes to its narrative structure and emotional storytelling.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is actually a decent overall package that’s simply held back and let down by its bizarre co-op campaign.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a solid sequel that builds on its commitment to chaotic action.
I enjoyed The Outer Worlds for what it was worth, but The Outer Worlds 2 feels like a significant step up, and one that’s better suited to a broader audience.
Piankiller isn’t really broken or terrible in any meaningful way, but it’s just not doing enough of its own stuff to justify a full reimagining such as this.
Returnal is extremely difficult, and that might drive some casual players away, but there’s very little reason to say no to a game with such an intriguing story, beautiful visuals and engaging core gameplay in the first place. Returnal is a blast and, to be quite honest, I can’t wait to get back to it.
