Curmudgeon Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Review

This game gets a resounding "meh" from me. EA missed a perfect opportunity to make an amazing game in a universe where it's hard to do a bad job. The fact that 90% of all collectibles are cosmetic is something carried over from the first game and it makes exploration pretty much pointless. The combat is a slog with the clunky mechanics and spongy enemies. I ended up dropping the difficulty just to make combat finish faster because it really wasn't fun at all. The gameplay is fun enough but as I stated earlier, you are seldom rewarded for exploring so the game just feels like running in place. It honestly feels like the devs just phoned it in. I mean, imagine thinking it would be fun to entice players by placing a chest atop a distant pinaccle, forcing them to progress the story before they can activate the mechanism to get up there, only to reward them with a beard and 3 seeds for their garden. The devs need to give their collective heads a shake.
