I've been playing since 2021 so I have seen the game change over many years, I cannot recommend this game to anyone unless I wish for them to become broke. In recent updates, the meta for this game has became increasingly demanding, meaning you must pull for newer units, their weapons and even other new units and their weapons for your main dps to do decent damage to clear end game content, ex: Skirk and Escoffier, Flins and Ineffa, the worst case of this is Nefer and Lauma. For units and their weapons you need 300 pulls, in Genshin on average they give 60 which is obviously not enough, 60 is not enough to even reach pity for the unit their self. But even spending $100 is not enough for the unit, $100 will only give you 40 pulls without the one time bonus. In game content, such as their quests, which there are a lot of, take so long to complete for very poor rewards. You can spend 6 hours on one quest for 40 primogems. In exploration, you can spend another 6 hours to get 300 primogems, which sounds like a lot but that is only 2 wishes. Again in recent updates, Genshin has forgotten they are an open world game so they do not release maps, even when they do at most the exploration will give 30 pulls. About their units, there is little diversity in anything, no skin color variation, or outfit variation, or even weapon variation. All the characters are the same color as printer paper. the male characters wear long coats and are well dressed for their environments, but their female characters are all dress the same, female characters wear short mini skirts, their sleeves are off the shoulder and they all have a back window. weapon variation is not an issue compared to designs but the last few characters have all been poor quality catalyst characters because the devs do not know how to show creative attacks with any other weapon type. Might I also add, on any playstore where you can download this game, they have been removing low reviews, as well as banning people who speak poorly of this game in their discord server. In conclusion this game does not know how to show creativity, does not know how to give proper rewards to players who spend their time on it, they do not listen to their player base. Even 1 star is more generous than the rewards hoyo will give their players.
