Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
isnt a Metroid for the Prime 1 or even Prime 2 fans but more a Metroid for modern audiences. The game has beautyfull cinematics and especially the first Area looks very well crafted.
However, the game couldnt resonate with me in many aspects;
1. The Soundtrack. I dont know why but this music fellt kind of generic. It didnt hit that spot which previous entries hit.
2. The Areas seem to be crafted without love or care what a prime game should be, the areas mostly take play in a structure or building or very open areas, this really bothered me, i dislike seeing the big tree png of viewroos in its full low-res glory.
Desert is bad and collecting rocks isnt fun.
3. The Story.... i just couldnt deal with these npc, one more stereotypical then the next one and honestly the story doesnt even make sense. Where did Sylux Metroids go ? how come he doesnt use them anymore? It was just for this one money shot of him then they forgot ?
I give it 1 Star because it runs and another star because the cinematics and the first area 10 min gameplay were crafted well.
