ElvenBenzene Kirby's Dream Buffet Review

Aug 17, 2026
There just isn't enough here to keep you playing for more than a few hours. It's a $5 game that costs $30 on the Nintendo eShop, the price is only as high as it is because it's Kirby. That's it. The gameplay is very simplistic, you roll around, consume food, and then end a round by beating said food out of each other with a series of clunky special attacks. And that's it, that's the game. Each round is fundamentally the same, once you have played 4 or 5 of them, you have seen everything the game has to offer. There is also a free-roam mode, which serves almost no purpose whatsoever, and a host of unlockables, which have no impact on the gameplay whatsoever and require dozens of hours to unlock them all. The game also has local multiplayer, but does it matter? Do not buy this game, it's not worth the price.
