Fabibi Tales of Kenzera: Zau Review

The game is quite beautiful, with an interesting lore and pretty good traversal. Unfortunately the combat is atrocious, with some very damaging design choices (not being able to cancel your attacks, being stunned and pushed away when hit, being one shot by environmental traps…). In the end I was just rushing through the enemies as much as I could to avoid having to fight again, which is not very efficient since there are a lot of closed arenas where you need to defeat every enemy before being able to move forward. Apart from that the progression is very classic and straightforward, it's not a metroidvania in which you come back on your steps and explore. And the level design is mediocre, nothing really stands out.
