Faust Flammans Fortnite: Battle Royale Review
Dec 11, 2024
I find it impossible to play Fortnite after the latest updates. The game constantly crashes during matches, showing an error popup with no error code, which makes it impossible to troubleshoot the issue on my own. I often lose everything in the game because of this, including my team, which is incredibly frustrating.
Additionally, it seems like there are more cheaters in the game than before. I've noticed that other players can often kill me even when I'm in motion and being as evasive as possible. They still manage to land headshots, which looks very suspicious and ruins the experience.
On top of all this, I don’t understand why Fortnite shows the region of my friends in the game as if they are from Russia. They are Ukrainian citizens living in Ukraine, and they don’t use VPNs. It’s unclear why Epic Games is equating Ukrainians with Russians. This is especially troubling during the ongoing war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, which is not just a conflict but a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
This war is the largest in Europe since World War II, and Russian forces are carrying out daily terrorist attacks on Ukrainian civilians. Ukrainians are fighting to protect their identity and sovereignty, and being labeled as part of Russia in Fortnite is deeply offensive. This issue is not only frustrating but also violates Ukrainian law. My friends would never choose Russia as their region if they had the option, and it’s unacceptable for Epic Games to ignore this reality.
Fortnite used to be one of our favorite games, but these crashes, questionable gameplay, and the regional misrepresentation have made it impossible to enjoy or support. I hope Epic Games addresses these problems urgently.
