faytedecides Cyberpunk 2077 Review
Dec 29, 2024
I originally preordered this game. Played on day 1 on an xbox one s all digital edition. (For those of you that remember the release of this game. I was playing on the worst thing that could barely run it and it was almost unplayable.) I was so hyped though that I stuck through the hard to play parts and squinted my eyes and dealt with crash after crash. Then patch after patch came out. I eventually built a PC with good parts and can play it on ultra settings 1080p and maintain over 100 fps even in high action. And man. there's not even words to describe the journey this game was. And what it is now for anyone picking it up today. I mean my exwife bought me a big super nice strategy guide for it for xmas the year it came out. Super expansive and thorough. And the game has been changed so drastically through the patches that if you have that guide it's not even accurate. None of the perks are the same. None of the anything is the same. 3x as much content as was there at that point. They have serviced the fans in every single way possible adding every little thing anyone has ever asked for and fixed anything anyone ever complained about. The characters are epic and feel real. night city is alive, and every time it's time for me to play I proudly exclaim "Alright, I'm going to Night City be back in a few hours!" I truly love this game. I love everything about it. I love every character. Every gun. Every side quest. The anime. I own the original tabletop game 1st edition with expansions that I bought after playing for 1500 hours. I've done like 8 playthroughs. This game never. Ever gets old. I thought Kingdom Hearts and Resident Evil would always hold the titles of my favorite games ever. But wow. Cyberpunk 2077 is it. The be all. The end all. The absolute best videogame ever released up to this point. I can not wait to see how they manage to up this with witcher 5 and cyberpunk 3000
