FromLake Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Review

I've wanted to play this game for years after watching a streamer enjoy it, but I ended up refunding it after just 40 minutes. The controls never felt intuitive, and the second mission, which should have been a cakewalk, had me doing seven Google searches just to figure out what I was supposed to do. Even after I finally completed the mini-game, I still had no idea how it actually worked; and that infuriated me. Combat didn't make much sense to me either, and the tutorials felt confusing and cluttered. Instead of teaching the mechanics, they left me bewildered and feeling completely out of control. On top of that, the clunky camera and its short range made the experience even more frustrating, to the point where I rage quit three times. I genuinely regret not enjoying this game, especially considering how many positive reviews it has. I really wanted to like it, but I just can't recommend it. To me, it feels like an unintuitive, confusing mess
