Gallibd Humankind Review

Sep 21, 2025
Humankind took everything Civilization does well, fixed everything it does poorly, and went even further by revolutionizing key aspects of the genre. The way maps are constructed, the impact of terrain on gameplay, the evolution of technologies, and the transition between eras are all brilliantly designed. It feels like the game managed to do what Civilization 7 could not. For me, it became clear that Civilization 7 tried to copy a lot from Humankind, which is fine since the Civilization series influenced maybe 70 percent of what Humankind is. The problem is that it failed because it did not truly understand how to execute those systems in depth. In the end, Humankind is simply a much better game than the Civilization series, and I recommend it strongly to anyone who enjoys strategy games
