Gallibd Elden Ring Review

Sep 21, 2025
Elden Ring is undeniably a good game and I understand why it became so famous, but it never really clicked for me at first. I tried playing it three times over the course of a year and could not get into it. Only on my fourth attempt did I manage to engage, this time with an easy mage build, and finally reach the end. The art design is impressive, but I do not think it is executed as well as people often say. It has that typical FromSoftware feel, a bit blocky and muted, with repetitive and flat textures that make some areas lose their impact. And the Soulslike system of spending hours or even days stuck in a single passage or boss fight felt more frustrating than rewarding. Many people say that overcoming this kind of challenge is where the joy of the game lies, but honestly, after dying five or six times and replaying entire sections, even when I eventually succeeded, I usually just wanted to stop playing. I do recognize the value Elden Ring has for the industry and why it resonates so strongly with so many players. It is a landmark title, but it is not for everyone.
