Great presentation, fantastic characters and a mighty soundtrack unfortunately can't save Hades from its critical problem : readability. Every element shines on its own thanks to gorgeous colours and immaculate designs, but when they're all together, they tend to accumulate too much and blur themselves with the rest of what's
The greatest action roguelike I have played, its influence on the genre is supreme and for good reason.
One of the best roguelites ever. Best weapon combinations, and great story
One of the best roguelikes out there, and a narrative that seems to anticipate absolutely anything you could do, makes those replays meaningful in progressing the overarching story.
My first Roguelike, very enjoyable !! Loved the feeling of progression and discoveries through the game. All the characters are well written and diverse, as are the powers, weapons and abilities ! All the different mechanics complement one another.
I found the gameplay confusing, with too many elements moving/breaking around you. Sometimes I would not even know where my character is.
A lot of builds seem to work best by button-mashing, which I didn't find very interesting.
Overall it's a decent game but far from the greats of the roguelike genre.
Great game for the genre. However; you really have to love it to stick in the gameplay loop.
One of the best Rogue-like games.
Indie game with great characters, story, weapons and powers. Voice actors made also a really good job.
Game cycle is well balanced and the overall progression is satisfying.
This was the first indie game I played. The fast-paced nature of the game really helped me grow as a gamer. After playing this game, I've gone from leaning casual to leaning hardcore. Everything about Hades from the level design, music, audio, art style, animation, story writing, and character portrayals
I wasn't able to finish it, too difficult for me, but I might try to do it again!
9 or 8.5, is very good but is definitely the most entry-level and consumer level rogue like
Best Rogue-like I have ever played. A bit on the difficult side, but make it much more rewarding to complete.
It's a great game but as soon as I escaped the Underworld for the 1st time, I never felt the urge to pick up the game again.
