Punish me! Punish me more! Masochism Simulator, the Game. (TM)
I'll never get the general love for this game or even the type of game, I do like Roguelikes and Roge-Lites so I thought I'd give it a try too see what Rogue-Hards are all about. Wow. It's brutal, unforgiving and frankly, no fun for a player interested in making actual progress or get a sense of achievement.

If you do like being punished, re-starting from the very beginning of a "level" and were looking for the movie Groundhog Day in game form, you've found your calling! Spend 10 Hours just to learn how to defeat the first big boss by taking 80% of those 10 hours just to fight your way through the same idiotic forces of enemies just to get a chance to beat him... getting his life bar down a notch more than the last 10 times you died fighting him.
Does that seem appealing to you? Then this is your game!
While I do understand a "challenge" is not for the weak-willed, but calling this a "game" might be a tad overstating the fact that what it boils down to is "Masochism Simulator, The Game" more than anything else.
I love a challenge, but a fair one. If you could somehow tone down the brutality, at least in the beginning... but of course Souls-like players will shun me for being a wuss, I know that. So I'll put it down as experience gained and will spend my time in less brutal, more rewarding games, plucking flowers, petting kittens and the like. I did finish Metal Gear Solid (all of them) on hardest difficulty. They are a cakewalk vs. this "Hack & Slay" type "Dying simulator" to me.
Ulitmately, joke's on me of course, as I paid for the game, proving I'm a ********* at least in that regard to buy a ultra-brutal title knowingly!
It's a clear hit-or-miss and boy, did it miss for me!
