Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption
Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption couldn’t get everything absolutely perfect, but no game ever really does. Instead, it got a whole lot of things just right, which was enough to counterbalance most issues.
Translating mouse-driven games to a controller experience brings with it a variety of challenges, including expectations of the users. Thankfully Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption manages to make the jump with an excellent agility stat and climbing skill.
"Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption" for the Nintendo Switch is a great port of a classic adventure game that pays faithful homage to the "Quest For Glory" PC series of games. If you've never played a classic point-n-click adventure game expect a lot of reading, clicking on objects, and dialogue text to go through. For the impatient gamer, this might be a bit trying as some of it might even get tiresome for a seasoned adventure game veteran. To those that preserve you'll be treated to classic and entertaining adventure!
Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption is an old school classic with a Harry Potter-like twist with it based in a University. I found the game very slow to get into at the start. But after the first three to five hours it started to pick up, and I got the hang of managing the school day better. It’s an entertaining game, with plenty of humour and a story that plays out gradually as it progresses. Hero-U offers plenty of replayability as well, to explore different electives in the classroom and conversational trails, or even romantic options. If you are a fan of the old school, classic, RPG/ point and click this one is true to its form.
