A really great return of Metroid. I really can't fault anything about the game, although it also does bring anything especially new to the table. In that sense if you never liked 2D Metroid it probably won't change your mind on the franchise. Personally, I can't wait to see what
The music is sub-par because the franchise is known for awesome tunes. Besides that ? It's almost flawless, in my heart it's really a inch to Super Metroid.
No Metroid game has such fluid gameplay, Samus has never been that cool, it just didn't disappoint me in the slightest.
What I don't
It got way more challenging, compared to previous games of the series (imo) but it worth every single "continue" 😄
Metroid has finally returned with a 2D game after almost two decades. With various spin-offs and portable outings, everyone wondered when Samus would return to her roots. The team behind the excellent Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series tackled this entry and did a fantastic job. There are some major additions
Dread is a very solid title in the franchise and great for speed running. The only thing that I personally take points off for is the music, it's not quite as good as it was with previous titles.
It's a very good, very polished game. The only problem is that Hollow Knight exists and that is undebatably the best metroidvania ever.
