Beyond: Two Souls Player Reviews

I spent about 16 hours with Beyond Two Souls on PC / controller in hand / playing solo. I unlocked several endings myself and watched the rest on YouTube. I also went through the bonus content (an extra chapter, and a handful of making-of videos on story, gameplay, and motion capture) Going

The voice acting and motion-capture performances were phenomenal. I think the story would have been even better if it were told chronologically.

It has serious drawbacks, such as some decisions not having much impact, unnecessary quick-time events that don't punish you for mistakes, not to mention the camera angle or invisible walls that makes character movement more annoying. The main character Jodie sometimes makes the same mistakes repeatedly, it becomes predictable that

A very nice written and touching story. I really enjoyed while I played it. Unfortunately there is a one big problem we have... Camera angles. Except that, I love Beyond:Two Souls.

If there's a chance you might not play the game, don't play it, because once you finish the game, you'll be very sad knowing that you won't be able to play such a game again
