Can't migrate character and rockstar support is beyond useless

Was an excellent game until the anti-cheat/rootkit update. Without warning, Rockstar made the conscious decision to kick out all of those that used Steamdeck/Proton as their platform to play online with no way of refunding the product.
Used to be fine, now requires installation of anti-cheat rootkit which isn't safe and isn't well reviewed. Opens your system up for exploit and can't be bypassed for single player. Garbage and they changed the EULA to protect themselves. Bad company and weak coders if they can't do it without
