This game makes you feel good.
Dispatch is a game that can seemingly do a bit of everything: good storytelling, stunning visuals, catchy and deep characters, fun gameplay, touching moments. This level of storytelling should NOT be taken for granted; it's really wonderful.
I always try to remember that this type of games has to think about ALL ways the player is going to play. In that sense, being a bit bummed out by your own game ending feels less significant, because there are always other ways to play, other choices to make (provided the game has caught you enough to be willing to replay, obviously), in other words: your ending is potentially not the ending the dev team has expected.
It's probably due to this that my favourite part of the game/my favourite episode is not the ending, although we reached an expected closure. What I liked the most about the whole experience is the strong team dynamic I have felt, and how convincing Robert was with his team. It was never a level-playing field for him, but the game managed to tell his story as if he was never less than anybody, and that felt good.
This was more than a game. It was obviously a good story, but it was also five-stars voice acting, it was also a captivating series to watch/play. I am so, so glad this game exists, and I indeed hope there will be a season 2.
I cannot shake the feeling that Telltale Games brought us here, and just for that, it was all worth it.
**Inspirations felt from**: the Telltale Games mechanic, but also comic books in general, and especially Marvel for the Prism character (we see you, Dazzler) and Shroud (*cough cough* Doctor Doom). The whole game felt like a fun mix of Suicide Squad and One-Punch Man blended together.
**Favorite characters (ordered)**: Robert, Invisigal, Blonde Blazer, Royd, Phenomaman (he's so good)
**Most disliked character**: Waterboy (it's not that I HATE him, but he's too shy, and frankly I just don't dislike any other character in this game)
