I cannot recommend this game after the v0.4 update 1. Issues with progression and difficulty Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game, or to be precise, I can no longer do so after the v0.4 update. Although the update introduced some new, interesting, and unusual features, it simultaneously made the gameplay completely insufferable. I played the game with several people who possessed entirely different skill levels in REPO, utilizing their own unique tactics and playstyles, but we could not progress past the third level with any of them. 2. Unpredictability of core mechanics The issue is not limited to progression alone. The primary flaw lies within the flawed system of in-game balance. Sometimes a power-up appears only once across five full levels, and occasionally it stops appearing entirely after the fifth stage. Due to this blind randomness, the core gameplay loop turns into a lottery. 3. Unfair distribution of entities The balancing of enemy entities is handled terribly, meaning some of them are completely helpless while others remain utterly merciless. We encountered a situation where three Balloon Boys spawned at once on the third level. I believe most players find it annoying when even a single entity scatters its balloons across the map, which is already huge. Imagine what happened on a small map layout with only two drop-off points for salvaged items. 4. Conclusion The game itself is well-made from a technical perspective, but the current build demands endless grinding — a series of long and painful attempts just to move a tiny bit forward. If you have never played horror games on difficulties higher than easy, this game is definitely not for you.
