Grim_Shady Crimson Desert Review

Crimson desert is a gem. It is easily one of the most beautiful and immersive games I have played all year. That being said, this game is not for everyone. If you are looking for a cinematic experience filled with a compelling narrative, this isn't really it. I would argue the games story is good enough, but that is not what makes the game special. It is a dense game filled with an insane amount of content. This game is not going to hold your hand. It begs you to dive in and figure it out. The game excels at giving players freedom and rewarding exploration. However, that goes back to the issues with the story. Because of the sheer amount of side content and lack of pressure to push on with the main story, the pacing can feel off and it lessens the impact of those big moments. But that is the trade off for being able to do almost anything at anytime. The combat does take some getting used to, but once it clicks it can be so satisfying. I can understand that criticism, but to me, the game is worth every penny and every minute spent.
