Hari219 Heavy Rain Review

This is one of the earliest interactive based story games that ended up in success, and paved the way for other interactive games that were made in the future. It has a chilling story with a heart-breaking first 20 minutes to start it off. It has a shocking twist villain that you would never see coming, and an incredibly enjoyable story. It has a grim atmosphere that adds to the nuance of the game. However the game is not without some glaring issues. The remastered version doesn’t save the graphics from feeling very dated and the gameplay feeling very clunky. There are a lot of QTE sections in the game to where it feels bloated and it feels like button mashing. It also doesn’t feel like the villain’s motivations are justifiable to the terrible actions he commits, which creates a relatively unsatisfying ending. Still a good game I would definitely recommend. Rating: 7.7/10
