Ironzzz Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Review

Nov 19, 2025
I’ve never felt compelled to write a review for a movie or a game before, but this latest instalment from Activision/Treyarch pushed me over the edge. They somehow took one of my favourite franchises and turned it into something so unbearable to watch and play that I actually uninstalled it. Meanwhile, hopping into games like Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders has been a completely different—actually enjoyable—experience. My biggest issues come from how the multiplayer feels. Removing meaningful aim assist for controller players just to make things more “competitive” for keyboard and mouse? Really? As if it wasn’t already easier for them with or without aim assist. And don’t even get me started on the AI-generated content. How unimaginative and blatantly cash-grabby can you get? Or should I say cost-conscious from the developers? You’d think Microsoft buying the studio would’ve meant a new golden age—yeah, think again. Then there’s the campaign. Absolute rubbish. No pause option, bizarrely chopped-up cutscenes, and a storyline so painfully bad that watching it felt like being mugged of my time and will to live. The only thing more shocking is the gap between user reviews and critic reviews. Funny how you can practically see who’s cashing the biggest cheque. Take it from me—go play Battlefield 6. It’s far more enjoyable and actually feels realistic. Call of Duty didn’t evolve; it devolved. It went from a war simulator to a fentanyl simulator.
