Jimmykiller456 It Takes Two Review
Jul 27, 2025
Rating: ★★★★☆- stars
This game is the go-to game for couples. If your significant other Is not much of gamer, No need to worry - I think this game learning curve is not too difficult and is pretty easy to grip onto any of the game mechanics introduced during each level. This game really shows the devs put their heart into this game.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is since me and my GF has some difficulties getting friend pass to work. We played it every few days and sometime between then they release a steam version of friends pass. This caused the EA version she had installed to not play nice. Eventually, we were able to get it to work if I invited her through EA instead of Steam.
The story? Beautiful. Emotional. Powerful. There were moments that had us both lock in- whether we were panicking during a boss or getting teary-eyed during cutscenes It’s a rollercoaster of emotions but a meaningful one at that. This game really felt like there some lessons that can be learned about relationships between two human beings. At the end of the game me and my gf felt bit more connected as couple.
This game is recommended by me on sale or no sale. This game is worth every penny. Love that the developers of this game have many other games that I now want to play(Which also use Friend Pass). Their new game Split-Fiction looks amazing and can’t wait to get that game once I caught up a bit on my back log lol. Anyway, here is the TLDR below:
• Great co-op game for couples, even if one isn’t a gamer
• Easy to learn, fun to play, super emotional story
• Some tech issues with Friend Pass, but fixable
• Left us feeling more connected
• 100% worth full price — no sale needed
