Knaron Kingdom Come: Deliverance Review

Mar 2, 2025
The historical accuracy in this game is fantastic, making it great for immersion. The music, writing, voice work, and attention to detail in world-building are truly impressive. However, all of that is completely undermined by the inexcusable combat system and frustratingly poor interaction outside of dialogue choices. The combat training is woefully inadequate, and even after completing it, you’re still unprepared for actual fights. Opponents effortlessly block all your attacks while landing their own with ease, as if blocking or striking is like trying to balance on the head of a pin. I’d love to recommend this game because it has so many great qualities, but the atrocious combat system ruins the experience. It’s been over a decade since a game made me this mad, but this one shattered that record. I shut it off and won’t be playing it again.
