Krypt2k Rise of the Tomb Raider (PC) Review

This game blew me away. It was my first ever Tomb Raider game and I was very impressed with the stunning visuals and beautiful scenery. Now I don't really care about graphics in a game too much but I have to point it out because it made it an even more pleasant experience for me. I loved Lara Croft because she's an absolute badass, single-handedly wiping out factions like it's nothing! Her ability to kill alongside her survival instincts contrast with her personality because she seems a sweet and innocent person. The story takes place in Siberia, hoping to find the hidden city of Kitezh. Along her adventure, she stumbles across some pretty interesting characters including Jacob who has a pretty big role in this game. You can take a different approach to every enemy you encounter. Wanna go stealth? Use your bow and arrow to get a quick and quiet kill, or throw a bottle to distract enemy's to get to places quicker and more efficiently. Or you know, you could always just go in guns blazing. I also love the open world aspect. Nothing too crazy, but large enough for you to explore. It always feels satisfying when you discover a hidden artifact, a document or even better, a tomb! each tomb requires various puzzle solving in order to achieve the rewards at the end which makes it feel very rewarding. I absolutely loved everything this game brought to the table and it became an instant favourite for me.
