Lex21 Wuthering Waves Review

The game itself is fine. The predatory gacha system is not. You need up to 160 pulls (~25,600 Astrites) to GUARANTEE a single character. And even then, there's a 50/50 coin flip where you might not even get the character you want on your first 5-star. So you could hit pity and still walk away empty handed on the character you saved for. This isn't a pity system. It's a psychological trap dressed up as one. It's engineered to make you feel just close enough to keep spending real money. Predatory, manipulative, and frankly insulting to the player's intelligence. Hard pass. Don't let this game treat you like a wallet with thumbs. It doesn't respect your time.

I get what you're saying, and I agree that gacha systems are predatory. But rating the game entirely based off of that is, in my opinion, ridiculous. You're approaching a game that is very explicitly gacha, only to then complain that it's gacha. It's like going to a steakhouse and complaining that there's no vegan options. Gacha is very obviously not your genre, and rating it as if it's "unexpected" is just plain bias. Play another genre of game instead of complaining about one that you knew very well you would not enjoy.
