LightBeam NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition Review

As a game, it's really competent, it's really good. Beautiful music, great gameplay. What drives my review tho and makes this game one of my favorites, is the text, the themes. I don't think I'm exagerating when I say that this game has changed my life in some way. Won't go into much details otherwise I might be spoiling the end, but I had to think about the meaning of the things that happened ... it gave me a good philosophical discussion with myself. You know that feeling when you finish a game or a TV show and you feel like your life is over ? I don't usually have that, not as much as some would describe it anyway, but among the pieces of work that managed to make me feel that way, Nier Automata is the one that shook me up the most. Alright, I'll say it : literally cured my depression. Maybe not exactly right after, but when I think about things, I remember my time with Nier Automata being a pivotal moment for me. Probably has some cons I could detail and all, but honestly I have no interest in that. It just did a lot to me, if you like 2B because she's hot .... yeah whatever, but to me, she's so much more.
