Ligma Gaming Eternights Review

This game was fantastic. It wasn't particularly scary, which I prefer, the characters (besides Sia) were written way better than I would've ever expected from this type of game, and the gameplay was pretty fun. Additionally, by far the standout of the whole game is the comedy. Dam, when I was in the school with Yuna while she was cackling maniacally, and I saw the "F@rt dialogue option, I knew that these devs had my EXACT sense of humor. Additionally, while there was some lewd stuff, it was far more tolerable than I expected, with most of the lewdness being in the MC and his friend. Both the MC and his friend are gooners after my own heart, and I loved them. No jokes, no exaggeration, I have NEVER seen ANY game mimic me and my friends so perfectly, and every line of dialogue I saw from them sounds like it was pulled from an actual conversation between me and my friends. Now, for the couple of reasons I couldn't give it 5 stars. At times, the animations were kinda choppy and out of sync (though this can be atributed to the fact that I played in english, and not the og Korean). Besides that, I wasn't the happiest with some of the VA's. The Yuna's sing was pretty mid, Sia's VA didn't seem like she had the guts to go all in on some of the over the top things she says, and Min's VA tries to make her voice go so high, she unintentionally sounds like Mickey Mouse. Besides that, while the gameplay is intuitive, on the other side of the coin, that also means it's so simple that it can get a bit boring if you do it for too long, which becomes all the more apparent when you speed blitz the whole game in 2 days on your first playthrough. However, I can chalk this all up to the fact that the game seemed to be made on a lower budget, and despite everything I said, I can feel the passion (and the goon) behind every developer at this studio. I'll happily replay this game again at some point, and look through this studio's catalogue of games, and see if I can't find any like it.
