Linus Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Review

Oct 22, 2024
This is as close as you can get to a modern interpretation of a PS1 era JRPG. There are no shortcuts, this game is uncompromising. All the towns, minigames, aesthetic variety you can think of. Easily the most fun and likable interpretation of the FF7 cast as well. The game is loaded with fantastic character moments and party interactions. Impeccable production values and an evolved version of Remake's already top tier combat gameplay, combined with the vast and varied open world.

Pros

Incredible cast
Perfect recreation of FF7's towns and differing aesthetics
One of the best RPG combat systems evolved
Great production values, even side quests have properly directed cutscenes

Cons
