Luitenant_Gruber Witch It Review

Fun little game with friends but way overpriced.
Witch It! is a fun party game in which you play hide and seek as a witch that can transform into different objects. In the other team are Witch Hunters, which need to find and destroy all the witches.
You pick a team, select your skills that you want to use that round for the witch and the hunter and let's go. When playing as a witch, you get 20 seconds to hide yourself by transforming as an object of you choose by touching it. Then the hunters are unleashed and search for you. When they find and whack all the witches in time, they win, if they fail to find you, you win. Easy and simple.
You score points by winning a round, but also by moving as an object, making it harder for you to stay undetected, but worth the risk.
Witch It! looks standard and blend, as can be expected from a small Indie game. The art style and decoration of the levels, however, is nicely done.
I have to say that some of the skills are a little cheap. The witches can use some little monster for example, that blocks the hunter's view. This skill reloads very quickly, making it hard (and sometimes impossible) to act or react when finding a witch.
So far, this game has two game modes. Traditional Hide and seek, and "Hag Hunt". In this mode, the witches cannot use skills and simply run around and try to avoid the Hunter. This is very, very boring however and feels like the developers just threw in something to fill up the game.
This game is on par with Human Fall Flat, Unrailed! II and Party Animals in terms of pricing. All of them are fun but very small and limited games, that sell for half or 1/3 th the price of a Tripple A game. Maybe inflation is to blame, but I would recommend buying this game in a sale.
In the end, Witch It! is just another party game for some quick hours of fun for way too high of a price. But for the concept and laughs that this game offers, I would recommend it.
