Luitenant_Gruber PICO PARK 2 Review

Great follow up with even more content. (Finished via Steam Remote Play) Pico Park 2 is a fun game which offers even more levels than the original game. It has various game modes in which the puzzles are all bound to a specific theme. For example, in some worlds, you are connected to each other and need to find the right order of progression for everyone to make it safely to the exit. Other times you are a spaceship and a flying shield and need to fight some sprites and even a boss. With friends, the tension and focus to complete a level can be intense and it makes for a lot of fun. Pico Park 2 uses the same simple 2D graphics from the first game, that work well for a game like this. The music and sound are silly and hearing it while you failed a level for the millionth time is somewhat mocking you. Just like the previous game, figuring out all the solutions to the puzzles was a lot of fun. Of course, me and some friends failed miserably many times, but in the end, we completed all the levels, something I am quite proud of. There is one mode/level however that I hated to the core, the levels in which you cannot see what you are doing and need to progress blindly in a matter of seconds after the curtain falls down. The problem was not the challenge of running blindly towards the goal, the problem was that it took a horrendous, insane amount of time before you could move again. The time between the pause and the progression was absolutely skin crawling. But in the end, I had fun with this little diversion, and I would recommend it to everyone.
