Mace007 Reanimal Review

Feb 17, 2026
I read the other player review, and just want to emphasize that if you’ve played Little Nightmares 1 and 2, which was created by the same studio, and intend to play the game solo, there’s very little meaningful progression in the gameplay loop as a solo player, and could consider skipping this entry. The development team stated in a podcast that the reason they chose to create the new IP, Reanimal, as opposed to be the studio making Little Nightmares 3 was due to their past publisher owning the Little Nightmares IP. You can feel overwhelmingly similar gameplay loop in every section of the game. This feels more like a sequel to Little Nightmares than a new IP with fresh ideas. The environments are larger allowing for slightly more exploration. There’s local and online 2 player coop, and only one person needs to own the game while another can have a free ‘friend pass.’ There’s brief vehicle sections with a boat and tank. If those 3 things don’t interest you, and you played the previous 2 Little Nightmares games, you’re probably ok to pass on this one. However if you’re a Tarsier super fan looking for more of the same, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
