Magnificent Bstard Mortal Shell Review

Although its heart is in the right place and the game has good bones (no pun intended) , it misses the mark in a few ways. The game is a bit short and the final stage is lacking and boring. The weapons are a bit lackluster in that you can barely do any variety of moves with them. The parry can be a bit tricky and frustrating and the RPG aspect, if you can call it that, is a bit lacking since it only applies to particular shells leaving you really just wanting to stick with one shell thus discouraging using the game's name sake. Overall though it is a fantastic effort and i recently revisited the game in preparation for Mortal Shell II which just dropped the game play trailer and it does look like they made big improvements.
