Maim Crimson Desert Review
Apr 2, 2026
It starts slow. Really slow, and honestly kind of weird at first. The first dozens of hours almost feel like one long tutorial, where the game doesn’t really explain much and just expects you to figure things out on your own.
Then something clicks.
The more you play, the more comfortable you get with the mechanics, and that’s when you start to realize how big and deep this game actually is. There’s an insane level of detail in everything, but you don’t notice it right away — you discover it gradually, almost by accident, just by exploring and trying things you didn’t even think were possible.
And that’s where the game really shines: discovery.
Every little thing, every situation, every detail reveals itself naturally, as you push further and experiment more.
I’m honestly loving it in every aspect. It’s pure discovery, pure fun — exactly what a videogame should be.
