MarPan Far Cry 6 Review

It's an okay game, if you haven't played anything else in the series. But even then, it can be a very frustrating experience. The little issues pile up. * NPCs and cars despawning whilst you shoot at them * Wacky characters call you at inopportune moments and blast away their bullshit * The car summon takes too long to arrive. It also arrives to the point from which you called, not where you currently are. And the driver takes ages to get out * I never once ran out of ammo, so there was no reason to switch between weapons. I have more minor grievances that probably were only "me-things". For example, some bases could be captured, some not. Initially it was not always clear which were which, and - to my increased confusion - the non-capturable ones kept spawning enemies indefinetly. And not in a fun "oh here comes a chopper and paratroopers" way, they were just spawning right behind my back in an already cleared dead end. The plot is... there. The game doesn't really know if it wants to be serious or not. On one hand we have a dictatorship oppressing the people in some harrowing scenes from first few hours. On the other hand there's a chicken going on a murdering spree. I think it would help if the game decided on a tone. The plot twists were forced, and I found the characters to be one-dimensional. The driving physics is okay, I guess. Even now I am not sure which trees/poles can be destroyed and which will cause me to stop dead in my tracks. It's not as bad as in Borderlands, but it made me think of that game for sure.
