McAddledMind Hitman: World of Assassination - Signature Edition Review

Jul 20, 2025
It's weird to give my highest recommendation to a game that has so many legitimate problems, but I've been obsessed with Nintendo's platformers for almost 40 years and when Bananza was released, all I could think for every minute I was playing it was that I could be playing Hitman instead. The game should have a frame rate cap to maintain stable performance, it should support mouse and/or gyro aiming, it should have cross-save, it should support campaign progress offline, etc. But for all those complaints, these are still the best designed levels in gaming history - you can happily spend hours in them everything in, or sprint through in a couple of minutes, and all with a perfectly pitched tone - never too grim, too dark, too silly etc. Its infinitely replayable in a way that few games are (only puzzle games grab my attention like this). It's just an exquisite game. One of my all-time favourites.
