Meko Hollow Knight: Silksong Review
Sep 11, 2025
Silksong is honestly a masterpiece. I went in with high expectations after how amazing the first Hollow Knight was, and somehow Team Cherry managed to prove themselves all over again. This game isn’t just a good sequel, it feels like it deserves to stand right beside the original as something truly special.
The world of Pharloom is gorgeous and haunting at the same time. Every new area feels alive and carefully crafted, and I constantly wanted to see what was around the next corner. The level design is just as sharp as the first game, maybe even better.
Hornet’s gameplay is fast, fluid, and so much fun. The combat feels super tight and every enemy encounter pushes you to think and react differently. And the bosses? Absolute highlights being challenging, intense, but always fair. Beating them feels incredible.
The soundtrack ties it all together. Christopher Larkin absolutely nailed it again. The music sets the mood perfectly, whether it’s calm exploration or a heart pounding fight.
Silksong doesn’t just copy Hollow Knight, it takes everything that worked and builds on it, becoming its own thing while still keeping that same magic. It proved itself the way the first game did, and honestly, I think it’ll go down as one of the best games of this generation.
