MissingPiece Cocoon Review

I loved this puzzle game a lot. The poetic graphics never ceased to amaze me. But the level design is what stood out to me: How the place has to navigate between worlds, and worlds reappearing and playing a role until the end is stunning. And the controls — you only ever need one button — are just genius. I guess it depends on the player's ability to think in players now difficult the puzzles turn out to be. Personally, I didn't find them too hard and allowed a nice pace of progression. The puzzles are definitely harder than in games I would call similar: Omno, Abzû, Planet of Lana. Ah, and there are boss fights. I am not a fan of boss fights. But these were sufficiently tame. For contrast: Tunic I dropped in the last quarter because the mechanics in fights simply overwhelmed me.
