Horizon Zero Dawn is an amazing open-world experience with a beautiful world and a fascinating story. Fighting the machines is the highlight of the game, with great variety and satisfying combat that rewards strategy. The world design, exploration, and machine designs are also excellent. However, the side quests can feel repetitive, and the melee combat is noticeably weaker than the ranged combat. The bow feels much more satisfying and impactful, while melee attacks lack the same depth and feeling. Overall, Horizon Zero Dawn is a memorable and impressive adventure.
