Moltrex1 Persona 3 Reload Review
Jul 31, 2025
What I Thought:
I really wanted to like Persona. With all the praise it gets, I expected a deep, stylish, emotionally rich experience. But what I got felt more like a never-ending dialogue simulator than an actual game. It’s a title that seems more interested in talking at me than letting me play — and for me, that was a serious problem.
What Stood Out Most:
The pacing: Painfully slow. Hours go by with minimal gameplay, buried under layers of exposition and repetitive social interactions.
The animation style: While some call it stylish, I found it flat and uninspired. The character designs felt generic, and the environments lacked depth.
The gameplay: When it finally shows up, it’s decent — but not enough to justify the long stretches of passive storytelling.
The writing: It tries to be philosophical and profound, but often comes off as pretentious or melodramatic.
Minor Notes:
I understand Persona has a dedicated fanbase, and I respect that. But for me, it felt like the game was constantly trying to impress me with its aesthetic and themes, without giving me a reason to care. It’s a game that demands patience — and I ran out of mine.
Final Thoughts:
Persona might be a cult classic for some, but for me, it was a chore. It’s more talk than action, more flash than feeling. I kept waiting for the moment it would click — but it never did. Half a star. Not a game I’ll revisit, and not one I’d recommend unless you’re already sold on the genre and style.
