A Pokémon spinoff game has revealed a shocking fact about one of the franchise's greatest villains. Every main series Pokémon game has featured one or more villainous teams, with schemes that range from simple extortion to world domination. Of course, these criminal organizations can all be stopped by a 10-year-old child, which typically shows that in the Pokémon universe, even criminals have limits. However, a Pokémon spinoff game wants to show that at least one villain is willing to eliminate his enemies horrifically.

A recent datamine of upcoming Pokémon Masters EX content has revealed a new Sync Pair featuring Giovanni and Guzzlord. However, the flavor text for Giovanni reveals an additional horrifying fact about his use of the Ultra Beast. The description of Giovanni notes that he uses "Guzzlord's insatiable appetite to rid Team Rocket of those who might get in their way." The implication here is that Giovanni is literally feeding his enemies to Guzzlord, an Ultra Beast with an infinite appetite.
