Video Shows 'Graveyard' of PS2 Games in Iraq

A PlayStation 2 fan shared a video showing a ton of nostalgic video games from the early 2000s piled up in a DVD shop in Iraq. The PlayStation 2 has remained one of Sony's most successful consoles to date, and many games released during its era helped to shape the gaming industry.

Released by Sony in October 2000, the PS2 marked a major milestone in the history of video games. The console greatly surpassed its predecessor, not only because of its improved graphics but also because of its useful hardware upgrades. The PS2 had a larger disc capacity and even doubled as a DVD player, which proved to be an invaluable asset to many consumers at the time. It did so well in sales that its successor consoles, the PS3 and PS4, haven't been able to outdo it. Most titles from the PS2's game library are now considered collector's items, with some PlayStation 2 games worth hundreds of dollars. These games are sometimes extremely hard to find, but one PlayStation fan recently revealed their access to a plethora of PS2 games, though they're not exactly in mint condition.
