Fans believe that two major changes need to be made to Fortnite select styles to improve player's in-game experience. Gamers don't have to pay a dime to enjoy Fortnite. As long as they have access to a gaming platform, they will be able to play it, as it's free-to-play. However, many fans do spend money on Fortnite to purchase V-Bucks, the Crew Pack, or Item Shop real-money packs. Alternatively, gamers can earn V-Bucks by leveling up and unlocking the free rewards on the Battle Pass, but this is a tedious process, and it takes too many seasons to save up a significant amount of in-game currency, which is why most players opt to buy them instead.

Fortnite added alternative styles for cosmetics back in Chapter 1 Season 4; they've been part of the game for most of its lifespan.
