NetEase Games has announced that all Marvel Rivals players will receive 200 Units after the game's servers went down unexpectedly on the evening of February 24. Since its launch in late 2024, Marvel Rivals has managed to reach over 40 million players, making it a massive success.
Marvel Rivals has three unique currencies for players to use when engaging with the game. Chrono Tokens are used to advance the battle pass and can be earned by completing challenges. Units can also be earned through challenges and allow gamers to purchase cosmetics from the store, which include skins, emotes, sprays, and bundles. Lattice is Marvel Rivals' premium currency, and it can be purchased with real money or earned through the battle pass. Players with Lattice can use it in place of Chrono Tokens or Units to advance their battle pass or purchase cosmetics from the in-game store.
Head of DC Studios James Gunn reveals he would be open to a DC equivalent of Marvel Rivals in the future, likely featuring the Justice League.
