Disney Dreamlight Valley developer Gameloft has teased a brand-new feature coming to the life sim in due course, announced as part of an April Fool’s Day prank. The gaming community was rife with fake news and questionable content being deployed from a variety of games during All Fool’s Day, designed to note the annual day of jokesters and hoaxes. While Disney Dreamlight Valley players were initially gutted by Gameloft’s prank, the devs quickly offered a peace token.
The adventure game was first released in 2022 and tasked players with ridding a wretched curse from the titular valley to return Disney and Pixar characters to their rightful home. To keep gameplay tailored to fans' needs and keep them in the development loop, Disney Dreamlight Valley hosted a survey for players to give feedback to developer Gameloft. The survey asked players about the game’s expansions, specifically trial quests and puzzles, and also asked questions regarding new biomes, premium shop items, and Star Path rewards.
