Belgian developer Rogueside Games has locked in a Q3 release window for its upcoming rhythm-based auto-battler Devil Jam. Devil Jam will be available on most major gaming platforms, offering players a metal-themed trip through the underworld. Developer Rogueside has been active since its 2015 release Guns, Gore & Cannnoli, which was followed by a sequel and the cozy hidden-object series Hidden Through Time. Now the studio is trying something new with Devil Jam.
Devil Jam will have players take on the role of a washed-up musician who has agreed to a work contract with the Devil. Consequently, the protagonist must fight off waves of enemies, make their way out of the underworld, and take on Death, known in this world as the greatest metal singer of all time. Based on what's been shown so far, Devil Jam has similar vibes to Vampire Survivors and the beloved roguelike game Hades.
