Sid Meier's Civilization 7 has had a rocky few months since its initial release, but a new update will finally deal with one of the core complaints about the game. With multiple updates rolling out since launch, none previously addressed a common complaint regarding Age Transitions: units being reset at the end of an Age.
Community manager sar_firaxis on Reddit just announced a brand-new Sid Meier's Civilization 7 update 1.2.3 that promises to address the issue of units resetting during Age Transitions, set to go live the week of July 20th, 2025. Age Transitions have been a major pain point for Civ 7, and their controversial status is one of the main reasons the game has struggled to attract the same success as previous Civilization titles. Patch 1.2.3 will include a unique feature called a Continuity Setting that will let players' units remain locked in place into the next age.
